Complex Travel Group has expanded its national footprint with the launch of a new office in Melbourne and the appointment of two senior leaders to support its next phase of growth.
The Melbourne presence marks a strategic move for the independent agency group, which operates brands including Flat Beds, RoundAbout Travel and The Well Connected Traveller. It follows a period of rapid national growth in 2025, including the recruitment of more than 20 experienced travel advisors and the acquisition of The Well Connected Traveller.
Two senior appointments to drive expansion
To lead the new Melbourne office, Complex Travel Group has appointed Daniel Bram as Team Leader. Bram brings 17 years of experience in the Victorian travel industry and is tasked with building the Melbourne team, supporting clients on the eastern seaboard and strengthening the company’s New Zealand operations.

In a separate but complementary appointment, Complex Travel Group has created the role of SME Travel Team Leader to drive national growth in the small-to-medium enterprise (SME) sector. Adelaide-based travel professional Heidi Mettner, who has more than 20 years of corporate travel experience, has stepped into the newly created position.
CEO Anthony Riemann said the appointments marked a significant step forward for the company.
“The establishment of a Melbourne presence and the strategic appointments of Daniel and Heidi mark an exciting phase in Complex Travel Group’s ongoing national growth,” he said.
“Daniel’s exceptional leadership and deep understanding of the Victorian market, combined with Heidi’s proven track record in the SME sector, will be invaluable assets as we continue to expand our reach and service capabilities.”
Melbourne growth and national SME focus
Bram said he was looking forward to shaping the new Melbourne office and contributing to the group’s next chapter.
“Complex Travel Group’s strong national growth and unwavering focus on delivering market-leading service present a compelling opportunity. I’m looking forward to leading the Melbourne team and contributing to the company’s continued success,” Bram said.
Mettner will oversee SME business nationally, with an initial focus on consolidating services for Complex Travel Group’s international SME clients. She will also support business owners who require both corporate and leisure travel solutions.

“Returning to the travel industry with Complex Travel Group was a clear choice. The company’s vision for growth within the SME market, coupled with its established reputation for providing tailored and expert travel solutions, aligns perfectly with my experience and ambitions,” Mettner said.
“I’m excited to build upon the company’s strong national momentum and help even more business owners redefine their corporate and leisure travel experiences across Australia.”
Continued expansion and recruitment drive
Founded in 2008, Complex Travel Group specialises in complex airfares and premium travel packages under a portfolio of niche brands including Flat Beds, RoundAbout Travel, Flat Beds Tour + Cruise, QFlyer, Y Premium, Onboard Luxury, Flat Beds Rewards Travel and The Well Connected Traveller.

The business has been on a sustained growth trajectory in 2025, with a recruitment push underway to attract additional travel specialists. Its recent expansion activity signals a focus on both regional diversification and market segmentation, with dedicated leadership now in place for Victoria and the SME sector.
KARRYON UNPACKS: Complex Travel Group’s expansion into Melbourne and the appointment of SME and regional leadership reflects the growing demand for tailored travel solutions across Australia. With a decentralised team model and targeted expertise, the group is positioning itself to serve niche travel markets with agility, a strategy that continues to gain traction in a post-pandemic landscape.
