Global FIT travel expert Designer Journeys has appointed Stephen York to the newly created role of Business Development Manager, Queensland.
A travel industry veteran with more than 30 years in the field, York has plied his trade with iconic brands including Flight Centre, Contiki, Thomas Cook, Albatross Tours, and most recently with expedition cruise company Hurtigruten.
Designer Journeys expects Stephen’s knowledge of national trade distribution channels and the travel landscape in Queensland to pay dividends as he looks to build upon existing partnerships and create new connections with the state’s travel agents.
York said he was thrilled to become part of the “inspiring team at Designer Journeys”.

Earlier this year, the Melbourne-based company appointed Matt Symonds to the position of Business Development Manager, NSW & ACT.
In 2023, Designer Journeys launched Custom Group Tours, allowing Aussie and Kiwi travel advisors to create one-of-a-kind group tours catered to their clients’ interests to any of the tailored travel marketplace’s 73 current destinations worldwide.
