Movers + Shakers: Kate Cameron returns to Helloworld Travel as Head of Agency Partnerships

Helloworld Travel has announced the appointment of Kate Cameron to the senior role of Head of Agency Partnerships for the group’s retail networks.

Helloworld Travel has announced the appointment of Kate Cameron to the senior role of Head of Agency Partnerships for the group’s retail networks.

Cameron returns to Helloworld Travel, and the travel industry, after more than two years as Head of Partnerships at AISA (Australian Information Security Association).

With 20 years of senior management experience in major travel businesses, Kate is no stranger to Helloworld Travel, having previously led sales teams at Helloworld Business Travel and Travelscene Corporate agency networks for over 10 years.

At Helloworld, she managed the transition of the corporate agent division from Travelscene to the Helloworld Travel brand.

Previously, Cameron was also General Manager at Travel Partners, where Helloworld says she built a solid business structure and boosted member engagement, leading to network growth.

Elsewhere, Kate plied her trade at Flight Centre and Travelcorp.

Effective immediately, Cameron commences in the role at the Helloworld Sydney office.

“I always knew I would return to travel – an industry I am so passionate about,” Cameron said.

“It’s great to be back at Helloworld, where there are such iconic and well-established independent brands.

“I look forward to working with our agents and really feel we are best placed to support and partner with them.”

Helloworld Travel Head of Branded and Associate Networks Nick Sutherland said Cameron’s experience would be “invaluable” to the travel group giant.

“It’s excellent to welcome Kate Cameron back to the Helloworld business – her experience and significant insights in all aspects of our sector are invaluable,” he remarked.

“She is a specialist in the growth of travel businesses, and has a proven track record of increasing engagement, membership and driving more efficient business processes.”

In August, Helloworld announced it would team up with the Canadian-based, member-owned Ensemble boutique travel agency consortium in an exclusive alliance, tapping into its global luxury hotel program and allowing network access across its brands in Australia and New Zealand.
