Movers + Shakers: Bradley Kennedy appointed new Cruiseabout GM

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has appointed Bradley Kennedy as the new General Manager of its returning Cruiseabout brand.

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has appointed Bradley Kennedy as the new General Manager of its returning Cruiseabout brand.

Kennedy rejoins FCTG after a stint outside of the travel industry, but can’t wait to get stuck into his new role.

“I am thrilled to be coming home to Flight Centre Travel Group to launch Cruiseabout,” he told Karryon.

“Our blended model, with a national retail footprint, sales centre and e-commerce platform will be serviced by a team of specialists, passionate about their customers and cruising.

“Our mission is to do things differently by providing a fun and rewarding home for cruise specialists and providing customers with exclusive product and unbeatable deals.”

Between 2010 and late 2020, Kennedy worked in a variety of positions within FCTG, culminating in a role as General Manager of the Flight Centre brand in NSW and Queensland.

Cruiseabout’s comeback was confirmed in August 2023, when FCTG also announced the launch of a dedicated wholesale cruise division to shore up its strategic stake in the world’s fourth-largest cruise market.

The first centrally located Cruiseabout concept store is slated to open in early 2024.

In an interview with Karryon last year, FCTG Global Leisure CEO James Kavanagh said the first physical outlet would open in Sydney, followed by locations across Australia.

FCTG’s new cruise wholesaler for Australia and New Zealand, CruiseHQ, also welcomed four key appointments late last year.
