Avis Budget Group has appointed Kurt Knackstedt as Head of Sales for the Pacific region to support the global car rental group’s growth strategy and strengthen business partnerships across Australia and New Zealand.
The new appointment follows a growth period for Avis Budget Group with strong demand for domestic and international road travel.
Mr Knackstedt brings more than 20 years’ experience in strategic and commercial management, working in travel, technology and financial services for companies such as Rio Tinto, American Express, HRS Pay and Travel Port.
The new role also bolsters Avis Budget Group Pacific’s Commercial team, led by Senior Director Justin Montgomery who joined the business in 2022.
“Kurt is a highly regarded leader in the travel industry with a track record of proven success and will play a big part in helping us continue to drive customer excellence and innovative mobility solutions across the Pacific,” Mr Montgomery said.
