Shortly after appointing Adventure World Travel as a new GSA partner in Australia, Explore Worldwide has hired the consultant who led the partnership.
Ben Ittensohn joins Explore Worldwide as the new Global Head of Sales and Customer Service following a six-month consultancy project, during which time he led appointment of Adventure World Travel and gained knowledge of the business and its core values.
Joe Ponte, Managing Director of Explore, welcomed Ben’s hire, saying his trade and sales experience will “be key to the strategic growth of Explore for 2019”.
Ben said he’d thrilled to be joining the business at such as “exciting time” and be able to help strengthen its global footprint and brand evolution.

“I look forward to growing our partnerships with travel agents, providing exceptional support and developing the necessary tools for our global agency partners, and working with the team to expand into new markets to further increase demand for our 600+ responsible trips worldwide,” he added.
Ben joins the Explore team after more than a decade working at Topdeck Travel, where he was Regional Manager Asia Pacific. His prior roles included five years as Director of Sales Asia Pacific, Head of Sales Australia, New Zealand & South Africa, and National Sales and Marketing Manager.
He relocates to the UK this month to work at Explore’s head office, situated in Hampshire, UK.
