Batten down the hatches… Captain Cook Cruises Fiji has a new Director of Sales, cruise industry veteran and seasoned sailor Jarrod Zurvas.
Zurvas brings 15 years of cruise, tourism and hospitality experience to Captain Cook Cruises Fiji, following stints in senior sales and marketing roles with Variety Cruises, Quark Expeditions, Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours and Cunard Line.
Most recently, Zurvas plied his trade as Sales and Distribution Manager Asia Pacific at Coral Expeditions.
The new appointment comes as Captain Cook Cruises Fiji gears up for the arrival of its luxury expedition ship MS Caledonian Sky in November.
Captain Cook Cruises Fiji Executive Chair Allison Haworth West told Karryon Zurvas would have responsibility for sales in the Australian and US markets.
Haworth West said the new appointment was an exciting one “as we introduce a new era of high-end luxury expedition cruising to the remote islands of Fiji”.

Haworth West added that the MS Caledonian Sky would offer guests “a new experience and a very personal discovery of the region that’s never before been available”.
“We’re very excited to be able to bring this high calibre experiential cruising product to our valued trade partners and look forward to more working together, with Jarrod leading the way,” she said.
“This is an experience of Fiji by Fiji: our crew and onboard marine and cultural guides are Fijian and will take our guests to meet remote communities on islands that rarely receive visitors – and it’s a very special and memorable experience for everyone.”
Meanwhile, Zurvas said he was excited about the cruise line’s more elevated, adventure-oriented approach to cruising.
“I’m really looking forward to being a part of the evolution of the company and its offering to a genuine and rewarding discovery of Fiji’s pristine islands, thriving marine ecologies and an introduction to its friendly people who are renowned for their genuine hospitality,” he remarked.
