Cruise guru Darren Chigwidden has joined Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ (CMV) Australia team where he heads up the Sales department as the new National Sales Manager for AU & NZ.
Darren will commence with Crusie & Maritime Voyages on 29 January 2019 and will be based out of Adelaide.
In the new role, he’ll provide ongoing support for agents in Australia and New Zealand with the aim of helping them develop and grow their business, as well as working closely with wholesalers and national Travel Advisors.

Offering more than 20 years of experience in the travel and cruise industry, Darren has previously worked with Royal Caribbean, Princess, P&O, and Cunard. In addition, Darren’s former role at the South Australian Tourism Commission gave him experience in attracting cruise lines to the region to showcase the unique experiences on offer in the state.
Most recently, Darren led the sales team in South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory with the Globus Family of Brands, which includes Monograms, Cosmos, and Avalon Waterways.
Wendy Hernan will continue to be the key contact for Travel Advisors in Western Australia and Faye Larrarte will support them in New South Wales and Queensland. Darren will be the key contact for consultants and wholesalers in all other Australia and New Zealand states.
