After a twenty-year legacy of sales excellence and goodwill, Darren Evans is leaving Helloworld Travel to start a new chapter as the new general manager of Greece and Mediterranean Travel.
Effective Monday, December 9, Evans will lead the Greece and Mediterranean Travel team based in Sydney.
Greece and Mediterranean Travel is a 22-year-old Australian-owned and operated boutique travel company specialising in travel to Greece, the Mediterranean and various destinations in the Middle East.
Beginning his Helloworld Travel career in September 2004 at Talpacific Holidays, Evans leaves Helloworld Travel after twenty years with the company under various management structures and ownership eras.
Evans’s last position before leaving Helloworld Travel was Regional Manager NSW/ACT/QLD, where he led a team responsible for assisting store-based advisors interacting with Helloworld Group brands, including Air Tickets and the wholesale businesses of Viva Holidays, ReadyRooms, and Cruiseco.
Prior to this role, he served as the State Manager for NSW/ACT at Viva Holidays. Evans was also a teacher at TAFE in NSW and began his career in 1991 as State Sales Manager NSW/ACT for Connections 18-35.
Darren Evans’ extensive experience in the travel industry, particularly in sales and management roles, has contributed significantly to Helloworld Travel’s efforts to support agents and partners during the industry’s recovery and growth phases.
