Collette has recruited long-time industry leader David Farrar to join the Australian team in a move it says will further its growth in the Australian market.
Farrar will join the company as head of Sales for Collette on 5 September as the company expands both its sales and reservations teams to meet rising travel demand.
Speaking about the move, Farrar said, “Collette’s handling of traveller bookings through the pandemic was truly exceptional with a straightforward refund policy. Their 24-hour cancel for any reason policy also sets the standard. I’m looking forward to joining the team and continuing the Collette success story in Australia.”
Executive VP Global Business for Collette, Christian Leibl-Cote, added, “Having seen for myself the market potential when visiting in May, now is the right time to build our Australian team. David brings huge experience and we look forward to rapid growth out of Australia”
Farrar left The Travel Corporation (TTC) in March 2022 after a company restructuring. Farrar had worked for TTC for 20 years.
