Long-standing FCTG leader Rachel Kingswell has been appointed to the role of General Manager of Travel Associates in Australia.

Long-standing FCTG leader Rachel Kingswell has been appointed to the role of General Manager of Travel Associates in Australia.

With 22 years of travel industry experience, Kingswell has been part of the FCTG family for two decades, most recently as Operations Leader for Travel Associates Australia.

Prior to her ops role, Kingswell led Travel Club Australia and has also held various roles within the Flight Centre brand, including Area Leader for Flight Centre South Africa and Retail Leader for Flight Centre New Zealand.

The news follows the recent promotion for Dani Galloway, who, after 22 years with the company, was named as the new global managing director for Flight Centre Travel Group’s Independent & Premium Travel Brands.

The announcement marked Galloway’s stellar 22-year career with FCTG that has seen Ms Galloway take on multiple roles and brands across finance, Corporate Traveller, FCM, Stage & Screen, Campus Travel and 4th Dimension with the Group.

In an internal email to staff, Galloway said, “Rachel is a highly experienced and well-connected leader known for her integrity, tenacity and courage in managing the operational challenges and successes of the premium TA brand during the past several difficult years. Under her guidance, the brand achieved an amazing operational result in FY22.”

“Rachel will start her new role on 1 August 2022, leading the AU operations on to what I am confident will be an even more successful and profitable next financial year.”

FCTG Independent also recently announced the positive news that increased demand has “blown their projected sales out of the water”, with the group currently trading at 310% above their pre-pandemic record back in February 2019.
