The Railbookers team continues to make traction in the regional market with the addition of two new Business Development Managers for Australia and New Zealand: Nicole Francke and Craig Owens.

The FIT rail operator welcomed the duo to the Railbookers Australia team in May 2023 to continue to be “a travel agent for the travel agent“, as Group President & CEO Frank Marini told Karryon.

Both BDMs have a distinguished track record in the travel industry, providing combined expertise and experience across retail, sales, operations and marketing.

Ms Francke brings more than 16 years’ experience in retail, wholesale and relationship marketing roles to Railbookers.

She has held previous roles at Overseas Working Holidays, Flight Centre Travel Group (including Infinity and wholesale in NYC), Chimu Adventures, GetAboutasia and Travello.

Based in Brisbane, she is excited to join Railbookers with a family background in rail – her grandfather worked on trains from Basel to Lugano in Switzerland.

Sydney-based Owens also brings a wealth of industry contacts and knowledge to the Railbookers BDM role.

Starting as an “office boy” at P&O Cruises when he was 17, Mr Owens has more than 30 years’ experience, primarily in luxury cruise and airlines where he worked in reservations, operations and sales.

He previously held leadership roles at Cunard, Seabourn, MSC Cruises, Oceania, Silversea and Aircalin.

“Railbookers is such an interesting and dynamic organisation. Delivering amazing rail experiences combined with hotel accommodation and sightseeing, all to the client’s specific travel style and budget, is very exciting indeed,” Mr Owens said.
