MSC Cruises has named experienced cruise industry exec Megan Toni as its new Head of Sales Australia & New Zealand as the cruise line grows its regional presence.
Toni adds more than 20 years’ cruise industry experience to the MSC Cruises commercial leadership team, joining after 16 years with P&O Cruises Australia and six years with Princess Cruises, where she built a reputation for driving revenue growth and commercial performance.
From reservations consultant through to senior revenue leadership, her career has spanned pricing, inventory, commercial planning and customer-facing functions, giving her an end-to-end understanding of the cruise business.

In the new role, Toni will lead sales strategy across Australasia with a focus on strengthening trade partnerships, expanding distribution channels and supporting the company’s continued regional growth.
Recently appointed MSC Group Cruise Division Managing Director Australia & New Zealand Katrina McAlpine said Toni’s addition reflects a deliberate approach to building commercial leadership in the region.

“We have a strong and dedicated sales team who have worked hard to build the relationships and reputation MSC Cruises enjoys across Australia and New Zealand today. Megan’s appointment complements that foundation and will bring a depth of commercial and revenue expertise that will help us take our trade strategy to the next level,” she said.
“The modern sales environment requires leaders who can connect commercial strategy with customer and trade partner needs.

“Megan’s background gives her a holistic understanding of the cruise business and the customer journey, enabling her to have highly strategic conversations with our trade partners while identifying new opportunities to grow MSC Cruises revenue and market share.”
Geneva-headquartered MSC Cruises is the world’s third largest cruise line and a market leader in Europe with a fleet of 23 ships sailing to more than 300 destinations across five continents.
