When you think of Viking Cruises in Australia, you think of the contagiously enthusiastic, bright and funny, Teresia Fors.
For eight years, she’s been the face of the cruise line in the country and the go-to person for anything Viking.
She established the local sales and marketing office back in 2008, she helped grow the business from one to now 35 staff members, she promoted the line’s transition into ocean cruising and she was even the driving force behind bringing one of those new ocean vessels down to Australia.

But now, Teresia has decided to leave her role as Viking Cruises’ Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, to join Volvo Group Australia as the new Vice President Marketing and Communication.
Viking events will be so different without her distinctive voice and passion for the product.
In the interim, Ian Bennett will step into a caretaker role commencing on 20 June.
He will assume responsibility for the business, both as Managing Director as well as the local Director on the Board.
For almost two years Mr Bennett has been engaged with Viking Cruises as an external executive, supporting strategic direction and marketing activity.
The recruitment process for a permanent replacement of Viking Cruises’ Managing Director role has commenced.
