Australian-owned tailor-made touring and safari specialist The Africa Safari Co. has appointed seasoned sales executive and Africa travel enthusiast William Gabb as its new Sales Director.
Based in Brisbane, Gabb brings a wealth of firsthand Africa and safari travel experience to the role both as a traveller and from working in the industry.
He joins The Africa Safari Co. from his most recent Sales & Distribution role at Coral Expeditions along with other relevant stints at Tucan Travel as National Sales Manager and a Tour Leader.
Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Gabb said: “I’m happy to share that I’m returning to my original travel passion as Sales Director at The Africa Safari Co.”
“Africa, its people, cultures, landscapes, beaches, islands, food, wine and of course, its spectacular wildlife has been an area incredibly close to my heart ever since my first visit more than 25 years ago.
“In the years since, I have lived, worked and extensively travelled this amazing continent and even managed to meet my now wife in a bar in Uganda after a day spent rafting the mighty Nile River.
“For any who have been lucky enough to experience Africa and the multitude of safari options, you will understand my excitement and love for the region and, for those who haven’t, get in touch. You won’t be disappointed!”
The Africa Safari Co. is one of the exhibitors at the inaugural Niche is Nice boutique travel roadshow for advisors in August 2024 and also hosted Aussie travel trade as part of South Africa Tourism’s Mega Lekker Escape mega fam earlier this year.
