Movers + Shakers: Wendy Wu Australia recruits Belinda Ward as Head of Sales

After more than 18 months away, Belinda Ward is back in the travel industry as Wendy Wu Tours Australia’s new Head of Sales. 

After more than 18 months away, Belinda Ward is back in the travel industry as Wendy Wu Tours Australia’s new Head of Sales. 

A well-known figure in the sector, Ward brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked previously at major travel companies including G Adventures, The Travel Corporation and Peregrine Adventures. 

She has also plied her trade at Evolution Travel Collective and Designer Journeys, and was most recently employed in the wine industry. 

Ward said she was thrilled with her new gig.

“I’m really excited to be joining Simon and the team at Wendy Wu,” she told Karryon

“I’ve admired Wendy and what she has built for a very long time and can’t wait to be part of the growth of Wendy Wu Tours.”

“An industry legend”

Wendy Wu Tours Managing Director Australia Simon Bell was unequivocal in his praise for the new recruit.

Earlier this month, Wendy Wu Tours joined with Malaysian Airlines to offer an exclusive business class deal on flights to China and Japan, with upgrades available from only $99 per person one way.

In January, the tour operator announced the launch of three new itineraries in three wildly new destinations – South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Colombia – that highlight that yes, the tour operator also has trips outside Asia.
