Joe Karbo has stepped into the role of CEO at Greece & Mediterranean Travel Centre and Luxury Greece Collection, Sydney-based boutique destination specialists for the Australian market for more than 20 years.
Greece Med Travel has appointed the travel industry stalwart to the Chief Executive Officer position to steer the company’s growth and expansion plans.
Owner Halina Kubica said: “Joe joins us at an exciting time where our business is experiencing a significant uplift and exceeding pre-pandemic sales, especially for Greece.”
“Having someone of his calibre come on board at this time will only enhance our growth and expansion plans.”
Mr Karbo returns to Sydney from London after his most recent role as COO at the UK-based Moresand Group travel agency.
He was also previously Group CEO at Wendy Wu Tours where he oversaw the tour company’s global operations at its London headquarters.
“I’m delighted to be at Greece & Mediterranean Travel Centre, an established brand of 20 years and to be working again with our Australian trade partners,” Mr Karbo said.
“Over the years, Halina has built the business to become the Australian wholesale leader to the Mediterranean.
