ANZCRO has appointed Kiran Nambiar to the newly created role of Senior Vice President of Sales North America, effective 1 March.

ANZCRO has appointed Kiran Nambiar to the newly created role of Senior Vice President of Sales North America, effective 1 March.

Based in ANZCRO’s Queenstown office, Nambiar has a brief to boost the wholesaler’s inbound business in the US and Canada but will also be responsible for the company’s move into other source markets when that occurs.

“For almost 30 years, ANZCRO has been a trusted wholesaler and tour operator within Australia, the UK and New Zealand,” ANZCRO managing director Nick Guthrey said.

“As we look ahead to our fourth decade, we are turning our sights to making selling Australia and New Zealand easy for North American travel sellers.

“To have someone of Kiran’s pedigree drive our market entry strategy for North America will help propel ANZCRO into our next phase of growth.”

As the former business development director at Destination Queenstown, Nambiar led trade and events teams to help boost Queenstown’s profile in key international markets.

“With Kiran connecting US and Canadian travel advisors and agency groups with ANZCRO’s extensive Australian and New Zealand product, online booking platform, and reservation support, we can firmly assert ourselves as a leading inbound operator for the region,” Guthrey said.

Nambiar said he was “thrilled to join the ANZCRO family and contribute to the next chapter of this legendary travel business”.

“The massive growth in aviation seat capacity planned over the next few years between Australia-New Zealand and North America gives our clients, partners, and suppliers an opportunity to supercharge their recovery,” he added.

“ANZCRO will play a crucial role in making it easier for North American travel sellers to sell Australia and New Zealand destinations to their clients.”
