2019 was another big year for the Travel Industry Mentor Experience, and a dozen recent graduates celebrated in style with fab views, live music, fortune telling and, importantly, tasty treats and cool refreshments.
Hosted by the ever-effervescent Timo Lorenzen—a 2019 TIME Graduate himself—the group gathered at Veriu Broadway Hotel where Timo is the hotel manager.
“Veriu Broadway was honoured to host the TIME grads’ EOY function in one of the hotel’s penthouses overlooking the CBD skyline,” said Timo.
With Timo at the helm, guests were treated to fabulous views, live music, palm reading, fortune telling and, importantly, tasty treats and cool refreshments.
“Like TIME, Veriu is passionate about the power of relationships and shared experiences. We were delighted to welcome the cohort of recent TIME grads, and we look forward to deepening the relationship with the travel industry’s premier career accelerator.”

Events like these are a great source of pride for TIME Program Founder, Penny Spencer.
“We love seeing our graduates developing their own networks and making time to re-connect and share their TIME experiences. Everyone who graduates from TIME quickly realises that their TIME experience extends way beyond six months of mentoring. We’re immensely grateful to Timo and the social committee for making events like these happen,” said Penny.
TIME reminds all ambitious travel, tourism and hospitality professionals that it is seeking applicants for the first scholarship of 2020—a nationwide opportunity.
The successful scholarship recipient will join TIME program intake no. 37 commencing on 19 February 2020, and applications close on Friday 10 January 2020.
