PICTURES: Helloworld Travel Agents head off on an Indian adventure with Intrepid

The Intrepid Group recently hosted Helloworld Travel Agents from around Australia on their first ever Helloworld Travel Adventure Summit - a trip that coupled travelling with making a difference.

The Intrepid Group recently hosted Helloworld Travel Agents from around Australia on their first ever Helloworld Travel Adventure Summit – a trip that coupled travelling with making a difference.

The event saw Agents learn about new initiatives from the Intrepid Group including their work in the purpose space and the steps Intrepid Group are taking to promote gender equality, with the aim of doubling female tour guides by 2020.

“Our first ever Helloworld Travel Adventure Summit provided a great opportunity for Agents to learn first-hand about Intrepid Group’s recent product development, particularly in the small group cruise space, and our purpose beyond profit philosophy,” Intrepid Group Head of Industry Partnerships & Contracting, Yvette Thompson said.

After the summit the Agents enjoyed a famil on Intrepid’s Southern India Revealed trip, which included an overnight stay on a houseboat in Kerala and a cooking lesson in Cochin and showed them firsthand the benefits of sustainable experience-rich travel.

The group journeyed on local transport, ate at local restaurants and explored the rural backwater coconut groves and fishing villages with a local leader.

“It was an amazing trip, seeing some of the best highlights of Southern India. The tour leader was amazing! And had such an in depth knowledge of wherever we went,” said Roberta Weston Chaplin of Helloworld Travel Tweed City.

The Summit was hosted by Yvette Thompson, Head of Industry Partnerships & Contracting, Intrepid Group and Intrepid Group BDMs, Sarah Louise Scales and Melissa Byrne. Michelle Barnes, Business Manager from Helloworld Travel escorted the famil. Flights for the agent group were courtesy of Air India, with Air India represented by Mr Sujoy Kishore.
