Helloworld Travel, Visit Qatar, Qatar Airways and Discover Qatar recently hosted 10 advisors from around Australia on a week-long sojourn to soak up all the activities and amenities on offer in Doha during a Qatar Stopover famil.
The Aussie advisors mixed business with pleasure in Doha with indulgent experiences, thrill-seeking fun and site inspections of popular Qatari hotels and resorts, designed to showcase the breadth of things to do on a Qatar Stopover.
It comes as Visit Qatar recently launched a dedicated stopover campaign aimed at key markets such as Australia.
Hosted by Visit Qatar’s Richard Styles and Kristy Barton from Qatar Airways, the Qatar Stopover famil participants were Amela Davie (Helloworld Travel Bacchus March), Kathleen Hunt (KSA Getaways), Angela Buccella (Helloworld Travel Sefton Park), Caitlin Osborne (RAA Adelaide), Eliza Vezis (Helloworld Travel Blackwood), Chloe Haberley (Helloworld Travel Belmont), Tina Pizzoni (Helloworld Travel Rochedale), Angela Maas (Helloworld Travel Buderim), Anita Wenn (Helloworld Travel Marion) and Ismail Niazi (Helloworld Travel Dandenong).
Famil highlights included visiting the National Museum of Qatar with a 13-course degustation lunch at Jiwan, splashing out on the rides at Meryal Waterpark, 4WD driving followed by a private dinner at the Inland Sea and a Souq Waqif Tour and dinner at Parisa, spotlighting the variety of experiences available.
The Helloworld Travel advisors also toured hotels and resorts popular with the Australian market, including Rixos Gulf, Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island, Park Hyatt, Waldorf Astoria and The Ned.
After an action-packed week in Doha, the Aussie advisors have returned with firsthand knowledge and experience to equip them to recommend a Qatar Stopover to clients.
