Brisbane Airport staged its second Show & Go agent event of the year last night, partnering with United Airlines, SF Travel and Brisbane Airport Hotels Group to send four lucky travel advisors to San Francisco. The catch? They had to have their suitcase packed and ready to fly out today.

With live tunes, a buzzy atmosphere and plenty of yummy USA-themed food, 80 eager travel advisors attended the BNE Show & Go event in the hope of winning some amazing lucky door prizes, including the four UA trips.

It was an amazing turnout in the BNE International Terminal for a Monday night.

The excitement was palpable as agents waited with their suitcases for the major prize draw of an overnight stay at one of the three Brisbane Airport Hotel’s properties, United Airlines return flights to SFO, three nights’ accommodation at Handlery Union Square Hotel in San Francisco and a Redwoods & Wine Country Tour.

The lucky (and thrilled) winners were Marcus Whitford (Flight Centre Brisbane Airport), Alicia Jones (CTM), Amber Harders (Wife Life Travels) and Patricia Gordon (Savenio).

Three additional advisors also won return flights for two to anywhere on the Virgin Australia domestic network – UA’s partner airline.

Advisors heard the latest updates from Brisbane Airport Corporation Executive GM Aviation Ryan Both, United Airlines Regional Manager AU, NZ & Tahiti Tim Wallis, SF Travel’s David McMahon, Brisbane Airport Hotels Group Director of Sales & Marketing Michelle Hanson and Virgin Australia Account Manager Andrew Scott.

The news included UA upping its BNE-SFO flights to daily services between 28 October 2023 to late March 2024 and increasing its BNE-LAX route to thrice weekly from 29 November.

The additional services mean United Airlines will operate 10 weekly flights to the US from Brisbane.
