APT recently partnered with South African Airways to treat a group of its top performing travel agents to an unforgettable African adventure.
The group of APT Diamond and Platinum agents spent ten days exploring the country, sampling some of the outstanding luxury accommodation and APT Signature Experiences featured as part of the award winning luxury tour operator’s 15-day South Africa Highlights itinerary.
Commencing their trip with a two night stay at Cape Town’s luxury Table Bay Hotel, the group enjoyed a city tour, which included an aerial cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain and a trip to Robben Island, and also enjoyed a special African drumming session and Cape Malay dinner.
Following their Cape Town adventure the group set off on a journey along the Garden Route, staying overnight at De Opstal Country Lodge in Oudtshoorn, visiting the Cango Caves; spending two nights at Turbine Hotel & Spa in Knysna, from where they enjoyed a 4WD tour of the Featherbed Nature Resort and the stunning views of the lagoon; and then travelling along the mouth of Storms river to Port Elizabeth.
The group is pictured at the award-winning Thanda Tented Safari Camp in Zululand – an APT exclusive for 2015 – where the tour culminated with a two night stay. During their visit the agents stayed in private luxury tents and enjoyed four game drives, relaxation by the pool, sundowners at dusk and candlelit dinners. The group was also treated to a traditional Zulu lunch.
