TravelManagers’ Operations Manager Troy Coelho attended the ILTM Asia Pacific Travel Forum in June 2023, gaining fresh insights and new prospects for the company’s network of personal travel managers (PTMs) from more than 580 global luxury providers.
Some key trends that TravelManagers gleaned from the global luxury travel forum include a preference among luxury travellers for fewer holidays but longer duration.
They are also keen to incorporate health and wellness experiences into their holiday plans and opt for premium properties focusing on sustainability and community engagement.
Multigenerational holidays also feature among the top five reasons for travel.
In great news for advisors, Mr Coelho reports that 80 per cent of luxury travellers intend to engage a travel agent for their next holiday.
“Based on the findings from a recent survey of the habits of luxury travellers, 80 per cent of respondents confirmed they intend to work with a travel agent, citing their in-depth product knowledge and an ever-changing travel landscape,” he said.
He added that meeting with a wide variety of luxury providers at ILTM resulted in TravelManagers strengthening existing relationships with supplier partners and forging new ones to complement its partnership with Signature Travel Network.
“As a result of our first attendance at ILTM Asia Pacific, TravelManagers has secured a number of exciting opportunities for our PTMs to enhance the luxury aspect of their businesses,” he said.
