UNDISCOVERED CALI: Travel Advisors left their hearts in San Francisco

Discover the ‘undiscovered’, that was the goal for eight Travel Advisors during a recent fam-trip around the Northern California’s San Francisco, Monterey & Big Sur.

Hosted by San Francisco Travel, San Francisco International Airport and Visit California, the trip started in San Francisco after flying with Qantas Airlines on the direct flight from Melbourne.

They spent four nights in the eclectic city with the intent on exploring the lesser known attractions and activities on offer. Some of these included attending a concert at The Fillmore, an immersive theatre experience at The Speakeasy, and a brewery tour through Haight-Ashbury, the historic hippie district.

The group then escaped the city to explore the nature a few hours south of San Francisco. They first went to Monterey where they dined at the waterfront café featured in the American television series, Big Little Lies.

After experiencing Monterey’s quaint town and waterside beauty, the group travelled a bit further to Big Sur where they saw some of the most beautiful views of the cliffs along the Pacific Ocean.

After experiencing the scenic side of California, the trip ended on an even higher note at SFO with a visit from Wag Brigade, a program that brings trained dogs to the airport terminals to make passenger travel more enjoyable. After spending some time with the dogs, the group was back on their way to Melbourne.
