Agents were invited to hit the slopes in North America on a seven-day ski famil with United Airlines.

As part of the famil agents visited the slopes in Sun Peaks – a new four season resort community located in the interior of British Columbia. The resort recently added two new alpine ski zones for the 2014/15 season and is ranked the second largest ski area in Canada.

Agents travelled with United direct from Sydney to San Francisco, connecting to Kelowna, BC where they explored all Sun Peaks has to offer, including a current alpine base of 152cm and 4,270 acres of skiable terrain (132 of 133 runs are currently open).

Continually rated one of the top ski experiences in North America, agents had several opportunities to test the slopes, even gaining valuable tips from renowned Olympic Champion, Nancy Greene during a hosted mountain tour.

The award winning resort* design features three mountains surrounding an intimate ski-in, ski-out village filled with shops, restaurants and hotels. Sun Peaks offers a diverse range of non-ski activities including Dog Sledding, Snowshoeing, Snowmobiling and a variety of weekly events for the whole family.

Signature experiences at the resort include First Tracks Breakfast, Fondue Dinner and Torchlight Descent and Free Mountain Tours with local Mountain Hosts and Canada’s very own, Nancy Greene, Olympic Champion, Canadian Senator and Female Athlete of the 20th Century (Canada).

Last year, United Airlines was the recipient of over two dozen awards for creating a flyer-friendly environment.

Among the awards was 2014 Airline of the Year from Global Traveller and Best Service Airline Award from Incheon International Airport.

The awards came after the airline invested heavily in virtually every customer touch point, including Wi-Fi availability on more than 370 aircraft and new domestic premium-cabin food and beverage services.
