Destination Vancouver brought the bouquets to valued travel advisors at an extra-special soirée in Sydney on 7 February 2025. Around 40 advisors enjoyed a Valentine’s Day-themed appreciation lunch with plenty of perks to celebrate Vancouver and Aussie advisors coming together.
Sydney advisors, including those who have completed the Vancouver Specialist Program, were invited to attend the exclusive event with seven Vancouver travel partners in attendance.
Agent appreciation event

Love was definitely in the air with a beautiful floral activation where travel advisors could select delicate blooms to make their own romantic bouquets.
Sydney agents also felt the love during a delicious three-course meal at The Charles Brasserie & Bar, featuring a dessert trolley of house-baked sweets and petit fours, including the restaurant’s decadent eight-layer Russian honey cake.

Attendees received the latest Vancouver news and insider tips during presentations from air, destination, touring and accommodation providers, including Geetha Harikrishnan (Pan Pacific Vancouver), Susan Fregona (Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown), Michelle Ng (Vancouver Foodie Tours), Lynn Chappel (Grouse Mountain), Bryson Dunn (Discover Canada Tours) and Denise Uribe (Air Canada).
In addition, advisors had the chance to meet the new Destination Vancouver In-Market Representative for Australia, Dianna Schinella, their local liaison for all things Vancouver and the Vancouver Specialist Program.

Destination Vancouver Market Manager, International Megan Nelson welcomed the opportunity to speak from the heart with Vancouver Specialists.
“It was great to connect with Sydney travel advisors, share updates on what’s new in Vancouver and show our appreciation for their continued support and partnership,” she said.

“Vancouver is always evolving, now in its third year as a Michelin Guide destination and gearing up for global events like the 2026 World Cup.
“We want to ensure agents have the latest insider tips to help them create unforgettable experiences for their clients, from must-see highlights to hidden gems,” she added.
