Virgin Australia is travelling to places its rivals have never been by expanding its empire & sourcing new areas of revenue through a food delivery service.

Watch out Uber Eats, Virgin Australia is coming for you and flying well beyond.

The carrier today launched a food delivery app called ‘Virgin Australia Flying Foods’ that allows Aussies to order food from one state and have it delivered from another.

That’s right, if you’re on holidays in Hobart and missing your favourite ginger prawns in Brisbane, the carrier will fly it directly to you.

Now that’s service!

Announcing the new app on Instagram, the airline claims to have signed up some of “Australia’s best restaurants” to the app, which has an emphasis of “sky’s the limit” when it comes to dining.

“Australian foodies rejoice because Virgin Australia is now delivering food from your favourite interstate restaurant, right to your front door!”

“So when you’re tossing up what to order for dinner tonight, remember that the sky’s the limit.”
