WHAT'S ALL THIS? Why 60 Travel Agents gathered to watch The Bachelor finale

Conferences, roadshows, breakfasts & trips – it's not uncommon to see a group of Travel Agents hanging out on a weekday, but it is somewhat rare to see them watching reality TV as a group.

Conferences, roadshows, breakfasts & trips – it’s not uncommon to see a group of Travel Agents hanging out on a weekday, but it is somewhat rare to see them watching reality TV as a group.

That was the scene over at The Ivy Den in Sydney last week, when 60 Travel Agents gathered to watch The Bachelor finale.

No, they didn’t start a group chat and agree as a group to get together for the romantic event of the year. They were invited by New Caledonia Tourism and Aircalin who were excited because the episode was filmed on the French island.

L’amour!

Agents were treated to French champagne and canapes as they watched Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins make history by not choosing either of the final two Bachelorettes and deciding to remain a bachelor.

They were also exposed to the beauty of New Caledonia as the finale trio explored the French paradise from the luxurious Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort (that Superior Beachfront Bungalow!), to the views over the UNESCO World Heritage-listed lagoon and barrier reef, the magnificent sunsets and picturesque beaches.

The evening saw one lucky consultant – Kyung Foreman from Flight Centre – walk away with two return tickets to New Caledonia with Aircalin.
