WINNERS REVEALED: These 8 Travel Agents are going to San Francisco!

They read, they studied, they smashed the quiz, they made a great plea, and now, they're heading off to discover the ins and outs in San Francisco.

They read, they studied, they smashed the quiz, they made a great plea, and now, they’re heading off to discover the ins and outs in San Francisco.

Put on a pair of sunnies to mask your envy because San Francisco Travel, SFO International Airport and Visit California have announced the WINNERS of their Undiscovered San Francisco Famil.

Eight lucky Travel Agents have been selected to be among the first to test out Qantas’ new non-stop service from Melbourne to the Californian city, where they’ll rest in the Hotel Zeppelin between explorations of the popular destination.

Rumour has it; San Francisco Travel, SFO International Airport and Visit California have some exciting plans up their sleeves for the trip but they’re keeping tight lipped about it all! We’ll just have to wait and see.

BTW, the winners are:

Rob DiBenedetto from Flight Centre who’s ready to fill his tummy with the “many different food SF has to offer”.

Angela Bowerman from Travel Studio who also wants a taste of the city’s flavours and is particularly keen to enjoy one meal to herself “in almost four years without having to tend to a three-year-old”.

Dana Brown from TravelManagers is another foodie keen to get on over to San Francisco where she’s planning to share the city’s culinary scene on her blog and Instagram (@wildheartedworld).

Natalie Blackmore from Flight Centre is particular about where she wants to go in San Francisco, mainly the Boudin Bakery for “delicious eats” and Wilson and Wilson Detective Agency for some yummy cocktails.

Kelly Chapman from TravelManagers sees herself exploring the Golden Era of the Golden Gate City in “skirts that are breezy” and various speakeasies.

Emina Budimlic from Flight Centre is ready to escape Australia for a livelier scene with “perky” characters and bars.

Melanie Carter from TravelManagers has her bucket list ready to go: see Alcatraz, touch pat the Wag Brigade, and catch an act at The Fillmore.

Ian Carswell from Travel Associates wants to try something memorable (and slightly terrifying), visit Alcatraz at night where he knows he’ll be blown away by the eerie shadows and silence.

Woo! Well done all!

Join us in congratulating the eight winners! Is anyone you know heading to San Francisco?
