To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the movie The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Excite Holidays and Tourism NT took 40 Travel Advisors on a colourful journey, Priscilla style.
Last week’s event at Queensland Museum was nothing short of FABULOUS filled with glitz, glamour, sequins and stilettos.
Travel Advisor’s entered the event by walking the hot pink carpet past the giant, 3 metre silver glitter stiletto, up the pink lit stairs to the colour filled terrace balcony of the museum.
With a signature Nothern Territory sunrise cocktail in hand, Travel Advisors enjoyed delicious Territory inspired canapéss.
Next they were treated to a special welcome to country by Ashley Ruska from the Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dance Company, followed by a live drag show by Brisbane’s best Queens, Vollie LaVonte, Miss Poodle and Solar Flair.

Advisors also got to live out their inner fabulousness, with makeup artists, Solar Flair and Miss Poodle giving everyone their very own Priscilla inspired look.
Excite Holidays, Chief Marketing Officer, Vanessa Richards flew up north for the evening along with Partnerships Manager Meagan Loane and QLD Business Development Manager Sue Watts.
Gabrielle Deacon and Monika Tonkin from Tourism NT also joined for the evening, presenting an engaging, funny and educational video on their inspiring destination.
The girls also hosted Dingo Bingo, giving away spot on their annual NT Round Up trip.
Excite’s Northern Territory guide launched this week and everyone agreed that there was no better way to kick of the year than with a little bit of glitter.
