Opened in 1940 as a perk for factory workers at the nearby Douglas Aircraft Company, the Aero was thoroughly upgraded and refurbished in 2005 and now boasts state-of-the-art projection capabilities.
Known for eclectic and retro programming, look for themed double features, actor salutes, and plenty of indie and foreign film fare.
Oh, and grilled cheese. The ultimate adult comfort food.
