The lodges at Sabi Sabi private game reserve in South Africa, have always been outstanding, but now there is even more to love thanks to a revamp of the luxury suites at Selati Camp.
The suites now have a brand new viewing deck, a restyled outdoor lounge and veranda and a remodeled reception and boutique area.
The new deck is an elegant circle with muslin fabric drapes attached to the thick wooden supporting beams. This creates a frame without disturbing the view of the animals meandering to the waterhole.
In the centre of the deck is an antique Persian rug and a carved table with stained timber and metal finishes.
The floor has been crafted with weathered wooden slats which flow out to the viewing platform.
There is built-in seating, scatter cushions, tree stump tables and footrests.
The existing outside lounge and veranda was treated to a “romantic overhaul”.
This is a space to laze in style, with upholstered wooden couches, armchairs and imported woven Malawian cane chairs.
The inviting pool surrounded by plush loungers is just beyond.
A brand new reception area has been created, a warm and friendly place in which to greet visitors. A myriad of intriguing paintings, sculptures, even pith helmets, adorn the walls and tables.
The space that previously served as the reception area, has been recreated into a boutique bush retail experience.
