The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has unveiled Melbourne’s Palladium at Crown as the venue for this year’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA).
Set to take place on 18 November, NTIA will return to Melbourne for the first time in nearly 20 years.
And the venue could hardly be more prestigious, already playing host to major events like the Australian Football League Brownlow Medal and the Allan Border Medal awards nights.
This year’s gala will also be the first to involve the new NTIA Custodians.
AFTA CEO Dean Long said his team was “incredibly excited to have secured this world-class entertainment venue for our members at a new location for NTIA 2023”.
“AFTA are working behind the scenes to weave another unforgettable night into the rich tapestry that makes up our travel community heritage,” Long said.
“As part of our planning this year, we’re maintaining our focus on breaking new ground, connecting with and amplifying the voices of our diverse membership.”

Crown Hotels Melbourne Executive General Manager Shaun D’Cruz also expressed his excitement.
“The travel industry will play a vital role in the recovery of international travel and as one of the most visited tourism destinations in Australia, Crown Melbourne is proud to support this year’s return of AFTA’s National Travel Industry Awards to Victoria,” D’Cruz said.
“We look forward to showcasing our exceptional hospitality experiences alongside the passion and dedication of our fantastic team.”
Long added, “On behalf of our members across Australia, I warmly thank Shaun and his team for supporting the travel community, and we look forward to working together on elevating the NTIA night experience for AFTA members in 2023.”
