Samoa Airways is enticing Australian Travel Agents into booking its services through a recently confirmed commission of five percent.
The airline, which launched in November last year, is celebrating its recent membership of the Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) for Australia by offering consultants a five percent commission on bookings ticketed before 30 June 2018.
The catch is, consultants need to have accreditation in Australia or New Zealand and they need to secure the booking through Amadeus’ GDS platform.
Chief Executive of Samoa Airways, Tupuivao Seiuli Alvin Tuala, said the limited-time commission offer is the first step in long-term plans to support Travel Agents.
“Empowering the travel trade is a strategic objective of the Airline and this latest development will significantly support efforts aimed at engaging with the travel trade.”

Samoa Airways was created seven months ago after Samoa’s government pulled the plug on its Virgin Samoa partnership with Virgin Australia.
The airline currently offers Business and Economy class flights between Sydney and Apia every Thursday and Saturday as well as daily flights between Auckland and Apia.
In a related development, the airline’s integration with Travelport and Sabre is underway and expected to come online in May/June.
