Former MAS executive joins Air Canada in Regional Role

Air Canada has appointed Lee Poh Kait as the Director of its Asia, Australia and New Zealand operations.

Air Canada has appointed Lee Poh Kait as the Director of its Asia, Australia and New Zealand operations.

 

Commencing in the new role on 6 April 2016, Lee joins the carrier as it enters a new phase of growth in the local market with new services, increased commission and aircraft upgrades.

In his new role, he will be responsible for leading Air Canada’s commercial activities and Global Sales teams across Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Lee joins Air Canada from Malaysia Airlines, where he held a number of leadership roles, including Regional Senior Vice President, North Asia and North America, Regional Senior Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and, most recently, Head of Regional Sales for Oceania and Southeast Asia. He holds a Master of Business Administration majoring in International Business from the University of South Australia.

Duncan Bureau, Vice President Global Sales at Air Canada, says Lee is a results-driven leader with extensive management, marketing and sales experience across the aviation and manufacturing industries.
