The check-in process would have to be one of the least glamorous aspects of travelling. But it looks like Emirates is about to change that. How? You say. With on phrase: Home Check-in.

Emirate’s brand new Home Check-in service gives customers the freedom to check-in for their flights from anywhere in Dubai.

Passengers using the service can complete their security check and check-in from their home, hotel or office and have their luggage transported to the airport prior to their flight.

How’s that for rock star treatment!

After an Emirates agent has arrived to weigh and tag your bags and issue your boarding passes your can then head directly to immigration at the airport, bypassing the check-in desks.

And no, Home Check-in isn’t just for the rich and famous. It’s available for customers across all classes travelling on Emirates flights.

The service will set you back AED 350 (Around $AU120) per trip for up to 7 pieces of luggage. AED 35 ($AU12) will be charged for each additional piece of luggage.

Book Home-Check-in via emirates.com up to 12 hours before flight departure time.

Emirates has been running trials for its Home Check-in service since October to ensure a seamless experience.

The service seals each bag and stores them in a separate hold in the van.

Emirates also offers a Home Delivery service where luggage is retrieved, cleared at customs and delivered to the customers for a hassle-free travel experience.
