However, the carrier has assured travellers that once operations are back up and running, it will operate additional services on the Australia and Denpasar route to assist in holiday recovery.

Guests whose flights have been cancelled as a result of volcanic activity will be able to change their booking to another flight within 14 days at no extra charge or receive a full travel credit.

“Our team of meteorologists continues to monitor the situation in consultation with the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre in Darwin.”

“The safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority, and we will keep customers updated as new information becomes available.”

Meanwhile, Jetstar’s services over the last few days have also been a little rocky, with some flights operating and others cancelled.

Overnight the airline announced it had cancelled all evenings flights in and out of Bali as well as eight flights this morning.

“We regret the disruption cancellations have caused travellers during the past week, but the safety of our customers and crew is our first priority.”

The airline said it will monitor the situation and advise of any further changes over the coming days.
