NEW ROUTE! Air Vanuatu to fly non-stop between Melbourne & Port Vila

South Pacific paradise will be just one short flight away from Victoria’s capital as Air Vanuatu announced a new non-stop flight between Melbourne & Port Vila.

The only direct connection between the two capitals will commence on 18 June 2019 with Air Vanuatu operating the Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the three times weekly service.

Air Vanuatu’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, Derek Nice, said he’s thrilled to be launching the new route, which will tap into the growing excitement among Melburnians to discover the wonders of Vanuatu.

Subject to regulatory approval, Qantas will add its code on the new service, which will operate under flights numbers NF7 from Melbourne to Port Vila and NF8 from Port Vila to Melbourne.

The flight will take approximately five hours to complete and will fly at 7.00am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Melbourne, and 4.15pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Port Vila.

To celebrate the new service, Air Vanuatu is offering a special launch fare from $325 one-way with onward connections to Espiritu Santo and Tanna Island starting from $350 one-way. The offer is valid on new bookings made between now and 31 March 2019 for travel between 18 June to 31 December 2019.
