Etihad Airways 15-year young celebrations continued last night with “A night at the Museum” in Sydney.
Following on from the success of Etihad’s 15th birthday party in Melbourne last week, a huge turn out of 300 agents, industry aficionados and media joined the Etihad team at the stunning Powerhouse Museum for a stylish soirée.
The evening was a celebratory affair that included a creative treasure hunt around the transport-themed exhibits, delicious Middle Eastern fare, a card spinning magician, fun photo booth and of course, plenty of birthday giveaways and cake for all.

While the central theme of the night was celebrating Etihad’s remarkably swift and impressive 15-year journey to prominence, it was, more importantly, an opportunity for the airline to wholeheartedly thank the industry for their continued support in helping them get to where they are today.
Speaking on the night, Sarah Built, Etihad Airways General Manager, Australia and New Zealand said;
“We consider you all part of the Etihad family and want to thank you so much for being here tonight. We really wouldn’t be here today were it not for the tremendous support you have shown us over the 11 years we’ve been flying out of Australia. In that time, you’ve championed and challenged us, and we’ve had fun and prospered together. We’re really looking forward to the next 15 years and beyond of shared success with you.”

Etihad also showcased their new global “Choose Well” strategy and campaign videos that highlight the limitless levels of personalisation and choice now available to anyone flying with Etihad in any class.

Jennifer Gaskin, Country Manager for Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism Authority gave an update of all that’s new in Abu Dhabi and told an enchanting story of a city that is rapidly evolving beyond just being considered a stopover destination.

And then there were the epic birthday prizes…
The treasure hunt on the night gave everyone the chance to explore the Powerhouse Museum exhibits to find travel-related clues and answers to the quiz which they completed on their smartphones.
Three lucky agents took home two return tickets (each!) to anywhere on the Etihad network with one lucky winner taking home two Business Class tickets plus accommodation in Abu Dhabi.
The big winners on the night were Jodie Deller from CTM, Annie Clarke from AMEX and Karina Fernandez from Orbit Travel.
This was a celebration that went late into the night with guests lapping up the Etihad spoiling while getting a rare chance to spend time exclusively exploring the magnificent Powerhouse Museum after dark.
Etihad’s 15th-year young celebrations continue in Brisbane on Monday, December 3rd at the Museum of Brisbane from 6.30 pm till late.
