Qantas & American Airlines showcase products to Agents

Qantas and American Airlines showcased their product and services at an event attended by over 150 Travel Agents from all over Australia and New Zealand last week.

Qantas and American Airlines showcased their product and services at an event attended by over 150 Travel Agents from all over Australia and New Zealand last week.

Starting with a tour of a Qantas A380 and American Airlines B777-300ER, which were parked side by side at the Sydney Jet Base, agents were then transported to Qantas’ HQ where they had the opportunity to learn more about the joint venture partnership, loyalty program benefits, customer experience and selling opportunities.

A number of North American tourism bodies including; Brand USA, Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and Los Angeles World Airports, San Francisco Travel, San Francisco International Airport, Travel South USA, and Las Vegas Tourism were also on hand to inspire agents.

Qantas Head of Agency Partnerships Rob Harrison said the event was very well received by agents.

American Airlines is also investing AUD$4 billion in new aircraft, product and service and we were really pleased to showcase our B777-300ER and its features which includes, international Wi-Fi and a state of the art inflight entertainment system, to agency partners.

The event concluded with a lunch that gave agents a taste of Qantas’ on board food and beverage show casing the best of local produce together with American Airlines signature ice-cream sundae.
