After introducing its Rex Flyer loyalty rewards program on 2 October 2023, members can now redeem their accumulated points to book flights on both Rex Airline’s domestic routes and to regional destinations Australia-wide.

The second phase of the program’s staggered rollout now allows members to use their points to redeem flights with three flight reward options – Anytime, Getaway and Ultimate – for travel in Economy or Business Class.

The Rex Flyer program has all unsold seats progressively available at the cheapest reward redemption rate (Ultimate) from 48 hours before a departure from 6,900 points plus taxes and airline charges.

Rex Flyer members can earn up to seven points for every dollar spent on flights and up to five points for each dollar spent on eligible Rex Extras, such as additional baggage and seat selection.

Members can also use points to upgrade to Business Class or use points and cash to book flights.

Until 2 January 2024, new Rex Flyer members will receive a 5,000-point sign-on bonus plus all bookings made before this date will earn double reward points regardless of the date of travel.

More than 60,000 travellers have joined the free Rex Flyer program since its launch.

In its next program phase, Rex will introduce membership tiers from February 2024 with status levels providing access to priority services, exclusive benefits, extra baggage, free seating and lounge entry.

Members can earn one Status Point for every $1 spent on Rex airfares or take the required number of eligible flights for each Tier level – Opal (new member), Sapphire, Emerald or Diamond.
