Scoot Airlines launched its first direct service into the United States this week, giving Aussies another flight option for travel to the popular country – albeit, a slightly longer option.

Instead of flying direct or taking a one-stop flight, Australians can fly to Hawaii with Scoot via Singapore and Osaka.

The idea of making two stops before finally arriving in Aloha paradise may not sound appealing to Aussies initially, but you know those super cheap Scoot fares will tempt a few.

The Singapore-Osaka-Honolulu service flies four times weekly on the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner, carrying 329 passengers each way.

On arrival in Hawaii, Australians can enjoy hotels with cocktail hotlines, shop, lay by the pool and experience the state’s traditional culture.

Lee Lik Hsin, the budget airline’s Chief Executive, said the carrier’s excited to flying into a destination as special as Hawaii and looks forward to connecting two communities with “rich multi-cultural heritage”.
