STATE-OF-THE-ART: Qatar To Launch Airbus A350-1000 In Adelaide

Qatar Airways has revealed that it will be using the swish, new state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 on its Adelaide to Doha route from March 2020.

Qatar Airways has revealed that it will be using the swish, new state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 on its Adelaide to Doha route from March 2020.

The A350-1000 will increase capacity by 16% for economy cabins with 281 seats, and premium capacity will jump by 28% with 46 seats.

The aircraft has a wider cabin body and larger windows for a more spacious feel.

It also includes the largest overhead bins of any aircraft, the widest seats of any jetliner in its category and a flat cabin floor without any obstructions for extra legroom.

An advanced air system technology renews cabin air every few minutes and LED mood lighting with 16.7 million colours mimics a natural sunrise and sunset to reduce the effects of jet lag.

It is also the quietest cabin of any twin-aisle aircraft and the lightest 350-plus capacity passenger aircraft.

The aircraft is made from 53% composite material, which means lower carbon emissions and 25% lower fuel consumption than other aircraft in the same category.

The A350-1000’s technological advancements make it the first aircraft to offer passengers a global broadband connection with high-bandwidth fibre optics delivering high-definition video to passengers.

Cameras installed on the tail and belly of the plane provide passengers with a 360° outside view throughout the flight.

It features a fully integrated wing design with super-efficient winglets for greater aerodynamic efficiency and an advanced flight control system, which constantly adapts to minimise gust-induced wing loading.

Qatar Airways’ Senior Manager for Australasia Adam Radwanski said: “Adelaide has always been an important market and destination for Qatar Airways”.

” It was the first airport in Australia that welcomed the Airbus A350-900 aircraft when we launched here in 2016. Now we are excited that Adelaide passengers can experience the latest and greatest in airline technology”.

Qatar Airways began its services to and from Adelaide to Doha in 2016 — flying the first Airbus A350 into Australia.
