Walk, walk, it’s fashion at 32,000-feet baby & this airline’s new range of cabin crew uniforms will have you re-thinking your work wardrobe with touches of gold & casual scarves.
European airline, Montenegro Airlines started the New Year by completely redressing its inflight crew with new uniforms designed by UK-based Montenegrin designer Boris Ćalić.
Ćalić took the airline’s former look at modernised it with stylish curve cuts and splashes of red and gold.
Female cabin crew now slip into crisp navy skirt suits with golden traditional motifs, along with a foulard which changes in colour to indicate seniority.
Meanwhile, male cabin crew members are now strutting around in a navy suit, vest and blue tie.
Boris Ćalić explained that new look, saying it was designed to “display the richness and beauty of our national dress in a modern and clean way”.
“Fine lines and a crisp cut which complements the body without too much detail.”
Boris Ćalić, Montenegro Airlines Chief Executive
“The navy colour complements the golden embroidery which is based on the Montenegrin national dress,” he added.
“This was the right choice because Montenegro Airlines’ cabin crew are the first contact each passenger has with our country’s culture. Therefore, I wanted to display our cultural richness through that initial contact.”
