If for some crazy reason, you need another reason to visit Japan, we have one for you. All Nippon Airways will be increasing the frequency of its Sydney to Tokyo, Haneda, from next year with an additional daily daytime flight.
ANA is making it even easier for you to travel to the bright lights of Tokyo.
Reservations and ticket sales for the additional flight to Haneda are scheduled to begin in mid-December with the schedule and the start of service to be announced at a later date.
Japan is tipped to be one of the hottest 2020 Aussie destinations (yet again) and it’s no surprise really given the hype of the Rugby World Cup and yep, Japan Olympics from July 24 – August 9th.
Where else can you watch the sunrise from the top of the mountain, hang out with wild Deer in the park, feast on delicious food, take part in a traditional tea ceremony and then drink a cocktail in a funky Robot themed cafe?

ANA increases frequency
Ryo Sadayuki, ANA Managing Director, Australia/Oceania Region & GM, Sydney said “A double daily departure from Sydney to Haneda will enable us to provide greater scheduling options for our customers from Australia and this is very good news given the growing popularity of Japan amongst Australian travellers.
“It is extremely exciting to move into the next stage of our growth from Australia and we look forward to welcoming more customers to experience ANA’s 5 star quality service.”

ANA has also recently launched daily direct flights from Perth to Tokyo which have been well received on the West Coast.
Sydney to Haneda double-daily operations will generate more options in terms of international connections at Haneda Airport, particularly to and from USA and Europe.
Haneda Airport is key to building a comprehensive network of domestic connections, and ANA’s increased presence at the airport will aid inbound tourism and business travel beyond Tokyo itself. ANA will also expand their International Network in 2020 by adding 5 new cities with the introduction of flights to Istanbul, Milan, Moscow, Shenzhen and Stockholm. This will be a part of the 12 new routes that ANA will serve out of Haneda Airport starting in 2020.
Haneda is the way to go
Say hello to Haneda; the quickest and easiest airport to fly into when travelling to Tokyo.
Officially known as Tokyo International Airport, Haneda handles a large number of international flights from all around the world.

Haneda slots are extremely lucrative for airlines and more in demand than those at Tokyo Narita which is much further away from the city; passengers flying into Haneda can pick up their baggage and be in the heart of Tokyo within 30 minutes.
There are a number of ways to get from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) into central Shinjuku. Travellers can take a train, bus, tram, subway, taxi, car, towncar or shuttle.
