As part of a $100 million investment, United Airlines is set to unveil new United Club lounges in both Atlanta and San Fransisco.

The airline is determined to transform the lounge experience for its guests, building lounges that feature modern designs with stunning panoramic views of the airfield, comfortable seating to work or relax, fresh and healthy food choices, complimentary beverages and plenty of power outlets throughout – in other words, just about everything the travelling public needs to stay well and truly comfortable.

“Our customers deserve the very best travel experience, and our new clubs are not only beautiful spaces, they are also very functional and will provide the perfect settings for customers to relax, refresh and recharge before their flights.”

Jimmy Samartzis, United’s vice president of food services and United Clubs

The nearly 5,000-square-foot Atlanta United Club, which opens today, has the capacity to accommodate more than 100 guests and is located between gates 11 and 12 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s Concourse T (on the mezzanine level). Featuring vintage aviation artwork throughout, the club will serve a wide variety of food options, including yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh muffins, sliced red bell peppers with hummus, seasonal soups, and spicy Bloody Mary trail mix.

At just over 6,000 square feet, the United Club at San Francisco International Airport will comfortably accommodate more than 130 people and offer a complimentary menu with an array of seasonal choices, such as fresh zucchini, cherry tomatoes, hearty butternut squash soup, dressed spinach salad, and a variety of fresh meats and cheeses. The new club, which is slated to open on 18 November, is located in the newly renovated Terminal 3 East Concourse.

United plans to renovate and update United Club locations throughout its network over the next three years. New York/Newark, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas-Fort Worth and Guam will go under the knife starting in 2016.
