Brisbane has new flights to New Zealand, from an unexpected airline

New Zealand-bound Queenslanders have a new option to fly to NZ in the form of Solomon Airlines.

New Zealand-bound Queenslanders have a new option to fly to NZ in the form of Solomon Airlines.

The Solomon Islands national carrier announced it would launch a new non-stop Brisbane-Auckland service from 21 February 2025, expanding the airline’s Oceania reach and providing more choice for two-way travel between the Queensland and NZ capitals.

Utilising its A320 aircraft, Solomon Airlines will operate the service once weekly, with Auckland-Brisbane flights (IE725) departing AKL at 6.30am on Friday and arriving in BNE at 7.15am.

In October 2024, Solomon Airlines named Airline Rep Services, part of the CVFR Travel Group, as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for Australia.
