Club Med is now offering its Australian guests COVID-19 medical assistance coverage at no additional cost, for added peace of mind.
Club Med is now offering COVID-19 medical assistance coverage to its Australian guests who are travelling from now to 31 December 2022 to any Club Med resort.
As part of the enhanced measures for guests to travel with confidence, this coverage is at no extra cost to help cover any medical expenses and cost of stay due to lockdown or quarantine requirements if sick due to COVID-19.
Additional peace of mind
Guests who have made a new booking from 1 July 2020, whether that be directly through Club Med Australia’s website, or through a travel agent, will automatically be eligible for this coverage.
Clients can book with greater confidence knowing the COVID-19 medical assistance coverage comes as an added component to Club Med’s current flexible Peace of Mind booking policy and in-resort Safe Together guest assurance program.
In addition to the usual 24-hour travel emergency, assistance and evacuation services in the resorts and the basic travel insurance coverage that is already included in the extensive all-inclusive holiday package for Aussie guests, Club Med’s insurance now also includes COVID-19 medical assistance coverage in the unlikely event of a case confirmation in one of our resorts.
What is covered?
- Medical expenses in case of hospitalisation
- GP appointments
- Covid-19 testing
- Transportation costs to testing facilities
In the unfortunate event requiring you to go to hospital, the insurance will also cover:
- Cost of stay for a companion
- Accompaniment of children
- Urgent medical care transfer if needed
If a lockdown or quarantine is required, housing will be provided for and if you cannot fly home, new flights will be provided for once it’s safe for you to travel and in agreement with local sanitary rules.
This coverage excludes costs that arise from border lockdowns, interruption of stays following a declaration of State of Emergency, as well as quarantine at the destination without being sick.
