It’s full steam ahead for MSC Cruises’ 10-year growth plan, which includes the addition of 10 new cruise ships within eight years. Astounding right?

Come 2026, and MSC Cruises will have enough capacity to accommodate over FIVE MILLION cruisers thanks to an investment of 11.6 billion euros in new vessels.

The first of the new ships joining the fleet is MSC Bellissima, which arrives in March 2019 with the capability to dock at any cruise port around the world thanks to her innovative design and dimensions.

Despite her accommodating fit, MSC Bellissima‘s inaugural season will take place in the Mediterranean, before heading to the Arabian Peninsula from November 2019.

MSC Cruises describes the vessel as a “strategic asset” because she’ll increase capacity in the Arabian Peninsula by 40 percent year-on-year.

Arriving in November 2019 is MSC Grandiosa, a 6,300-passenger vessel that’ll bring innovation and fun to the Mediterranean, such as a larger promenade to that of MSC Meraviglia where guests can enjoy surprise performances, themed parties and projections.

MSC Grandiosa‘s size will give the cruise line 30 percent more capacity in the Med during the peak summer season.

Next up is MSC Virtuosa, which is due to arrive in 2020. There isn’t much information available about the third ship yet. However, she along with the other MSC Cruises vessels will be powered by cleaner LNG fuel and future technologies that will enhance wastewater treatment and improve energy efficiency.

Once MSC Virtuosa is up and running, MSC Cruises will roll out seven more currently unnamed ships between 2021 and 2026.

Keep an eye out for more info coming soon.
